Our safety rules

These rules protect you. If anyone claiming to be Welcome Back breaks one of them, stop and verify them first.

Account access may be needed after review

Some cases require social media account access. First verify your representative, ask why access is needed, and agree on the scope before deciding whether to proceed. Do not send passwords or login codes through this site's forms.

Protect your email account

Keep email passwords and recovery codes out of inquiries. Ask about safer alternatives to sharing credentials, and never grant access to an unverified person.

No payments to personal accounts

Never send money to a representative's personal wallet, app or account.

Official invoices and checkout links only

Payments are only made through official Welcome Back invoices or checkout links.

Verify before you share

Confirm every representative on our Verify page before sending information.

Keep credentials out of inquiries

Our forms collect case details, not credentials. Remove passwords, login codes and recovery codes from messages and screenshots. Prefer platform-provided delegated access where available, and change any shared password and revoke access when the work ends.

How to spot an impersonator

  • They contact you first, out of nowhere, offering recovery.
  • Their username is slightly different from ours (extra letters, dots or numbers).
  • They request account access before you can verify them, explain why it is needed, or obtain your consent.
  • They push you to pay quickly, or to a personal account or crypto wallet.
  • They do not appear when you search them on our Verify page.
